The exiles in Halah who are of the people of Israel shall possess Phoenicia as far as Zar′ephath; and the exiles of Jerusalem who are in Sephar′ad shall possess the cities of the Negeb.

καὶ τῆς μετοικεσίας ἡ ἀρχὴ αὕτη· τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ γῆ τῶν Χαναναίων ἕως Σαρεπτων καὶ ἡ μετοικεσία Ιερουσαλημ ἕως Εφραθα, καὶ κληρονομήσουσιν τὰς πόλεις τοῦ Ναγεβ.

Sarepta. This was accomplished after the persecution of Epiphanes. --- Bosphorus. So S. Jerom's master interpreted Bispharad. But it seems rather to mean a part of Mesopotamia. Sippara stands above, where the Euphrates divides its streams.
